This is a section of Aertv where users can watch events that we live stream. The first page is an index of all the live events, showing upcoming events and previous events that can be watched on-demand.

One of the interesting features of the Upcoming list is the layout of the thumbnails changes depending on how many events there are coming up. More events = smaller thumbnails.

On the single event page I spent a lot of time extending the player functionality so it would behave better in a live streaming scenario. If an event hasn't started yet we don't load the player, instead displaying a holding graphic. The player has more intelligent error handling so it knows when to keep trying to reconnect to a stream that has dropped.

There is always online conversation going on around live events so Event pages can have custom per-event social media feeds.
